Architects of the Ages (the “Site”) is a free, non-commercial fan project hosted at aoe2rms.com. We care about your privacy and collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don’t — collect.

The short version

• No accounts, no sign-ups, and no personal information is requested.
• The mod builder runs entirely in your browser. The installer you download (a .bat file) runs locally on your own PC, uses your own Age of Empires II: DE files, and sends nothing to us or anyone else.
• We don’t use tracking cookies, advertising, or analytics.

Information we collect

From the builder and installer: Nothing. Choosing buildings, generating the mod, and running the installer all happen on your own device. No design choices, file paths, or game files are transmitted to us.

Server logs (hosting): The Site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like virtually all web hosts, Firebase automatically records standard technical information when your browser requests a page — such as your IP address, browser/device type, referring page, and a timestamp. This is used to serve the Site, keep it secure, and for aggregate operational purposes. We do not use it to personally identify you and we don’t combine it with other data.

Cookies & tracking

The Site does not set tracking cookies and does not use third-party advertising or analytics services. Your browser may cache static files (images, scripts) so the Site loads faster; that is stored on your device, not sent to us.

Third-party services

• Firebase Hosting (Google) delivers the Site’s files. Google’s handling of hosting data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Building artwork and icons shown on the Site are © Microsoft / World’s Edge. The Site is a fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or Xbox Game Studios.

Data sharing & sale

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information — we don’t collect any to begin with.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices & rights

Because we don’t collect personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have a question or request, email us and we’ll help.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
